Washington D.C. - Today, Hector Sanchez Barba, founder of Mi Familia Decide, released the following statement endorsing former Pima County Supervisor Adelita Grijalva in the Democratic primary for Arizona’s seventh congressional district: 

“Mi Familia Decide is proud to endorse Adelita Grijalva for Arizona’s 7th Congressional district. We know that she is committed to and has always fought for the Latino community in Southern Arizona. On the Pima County Board of Supervisors and while serving as a school board member, as a nonprofit leader and a native Tucsonan, Adelita  has proven she is a tireless champion for justice. 

We know she will fight to lower the cost of living and promote economic opportunity throughout District 7. She will advocate for affordable housing, quality health care and to build an economy that works for everyone -  not just the wealthy few. 

Crucially, Adelita will defend Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and veterans benefits from Republican attempts to defund them. She will fight for our immigrant familias, and work to build greater protections for all essential workers throughout Southern Arizona.. 

Now more than ever, we need strong, courageous leaders to combat MAGA extremism and fight for the Latino community in  Arizona’s Congressional District 7. That leader is Adelita Grijalva. Adelita está con nosotros. ¡Por eso estamos con Adelita!
